Olivia Chan, second generation tea master at Treasure Green, and Pearl Lam, co-founder of Dicky’s Dumps and District Local, share their stories…

This project is situated on the traditional, unceded, and occupied territories of the Coast Salish peoples of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
The community public art mural was originally intended to appear on the south exterior wall of the Lim Sai Hor Kow Mock Benevolent Association Building at 525 Carrall Street, Vancouver, in Suzhou Alley. Unfortunately, in 2022 Suzhou Alley became inaccessible to the public, after being leased by S.U.C.C.E.S.S. For this reason, the installation of the community public art mural has been postponed until a new site can be secured. For the purposes of supplementing the Educational Toolkit, the mural design (as originally proposed for Suzhou Alley) is published on the landing page of this website.
